Our in house laboratory is able to make assessments of plants and products throughout the manufacturing process. These assessments ensure the end product is a full-spectrum herb or extract, verified for active compounds and consistency batch after batch.

We thoroughly research growers to purchase only the highest quality herbs. Our Canadian grown Certified Organic and wildcrafted herbs are carefully harvested from British Columbian's pristine mountain and valley landscapes.

Nutri-Loc's quality assurance inspections start with the seed (no GMO), the soil, harvest times and drying techniques. But when the harvest arrives at the plant, the laboratory testing really begins. Before we accept any shipment, representative samples are taken from all incoming raw material and submitted to our in-house laboratories.

In the lab the first series of visual and laboratory tests ensure the cleanliness and purity of all raw materials before they are even considered for processing.

Tests are performed to quantify active compounds and to guarantee the correct identification of plant species. If the material does not meet Nutri-Loc's standards for any of these tests it is returned to the suppler. After the raw material has passed all laboratory tests all data is recorded and a Certificate of Assurance is issued by our qualified laboratory technicians. It is only then that the raw material is release into inventory.

Nutri-Loc is recognized as an experienced Canadian producer of standardised extracts. Our experience has brought state-of-the-art production and processing systems, and product variety to our customers. Nutri-Loc's standardised botanical extracts are produced under strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs ) and in accordance with various pharmacopoeias and other validated specifications.

Standardising herbal products is a reliable method of verifying the quality and level of active ingredients of herbal extractions. The level of active ingredients of herbs naturally differs from batch to batch. Extraction methods will vary and incorrect handling of the herbs or the extract can cause degradation of the product. The only accurate way to verify our processes is by testing the quantity of chemical compounds in the finished product. Nutri-Loc tests for these compounds using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) the most advanced technology available. Nutri-Loc is committed to R&D to development new products and improve existing processing procedures. The R&D Division, will be capable of bench testing parameters for supercritical fluids - Carbon Dioxide (SF - CO₂) as well fractionation of bio active ingredients. Ongoing projects include developing new dehydration technologies for botanicals, fruits and vegetables to create high nutritive value, shelf stable products.
